Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking a teacher for adult English as a Second Language students. Key responsibilities include: 

• Provide instruction to English language learners in districts in the region
• Assisting student in academic and non-academic settings for the purpose of supporting effective communication
• Accurately completing all paperwork related to position as required by school policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four-year degree in education or a combination of four years of training and experience with teaching English as a second language.
• Excellent computer skills, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to provide instruction and support for adult students to improve their language skills and prepare them for employment/college.
• Applicants who are not already NY State Certified must complete the necessary steps and apply for Adult Education Instructor Certification.
