10-Month Position

Commences September 2026

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach and supervise high school students at varying academic levels, both in academic and performance skills to prepare them for either college or entry-level work in the food service industry. Key responsibilities include:

• Instruct students on the fundamentals of food service careers including both front and back of house positions.
• Work with Integrated Instructors to implement lessons in English, Math and Science.
• Implement inquiry-based learning projects
• Work with local businesses to prepare students for co-ops and job shadows

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• NYS Certification in Culinary Arts 7-12; OR
• Associates degree or higher in Culinary Arts and 2 years' field experience in the food service industry, including day-to-day preparation of food for restaurants or other food service establishments; OR
• High School diploma or equivalent and four years' experience as stated above.
