Job Description

10-Month Position

Commences September 2026

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide direct instruction to students that are deaf and/or hearing impaired
• Monitor how hearing loss impacts access to classroom instruction
• Support the use of hearing technology (hearing aids, cochlear implants, FM/OM systems
• Build confidence in explaining their hearing loss and communication needs
• Promote independence in managing hearing technology
• Consult with teachers, staff, interpreters, parents

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• NYS Certification as a Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Teacher
