Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accurately maintains financial records.  Assists in the management of request for services, and the billing of those services to the districts.  Assists in the management of data regarding the receipt of products and services. Processes purchase orders for multiple departments. Creating and maintaining Excel files and spreadsheets daily for budgeting and reporting purposes.  Utilizes software applications, including but not limited to Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Word, WinCap, and Outlook. Does related duties as required.

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from a NYS registered or regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business or a closely related field and two years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records; OR
  • Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and four years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records; OR
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the above.
  • Education beyond an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business or closely related field may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Broome County Civil Service examination required.
