MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking a physical education teacher to provide general physical education and health education in an alternative high school setting. 
Key responsibilities include

• Assess individual students and develop, adapt and implement physical education programming on an individual basis or group setting
• Develop differentiated instruction and curricula that meets the needs of students (9-12) with a wide range of skills and experiences
• On-going collaboration with the Evertech Academy team to ensure the provision of quality services
• Engage students at a physically and cognitively appropriate level
• Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner as mandated by New York State and school policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• NYS Certification in Physical Education
• NYS Certification in Health Education preferred
• Experience working within a high school physical education setting preferred, but not required
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Belief in the value of physical exercise for every student, and willingness to use creative measures to help students maximize their potential in the gym and in the classroom
