Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs a variety of skilled mechanical, maintenance, repair and construction related tasks in connection with building maintenance.  The work includes carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, heating or electrical installation, maintenance and repair.  May also perform general grounds maintenance, including lawn mowing and snow removal.  Does related work as required.

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three years of experience in general building construction, maintenance, or repair in one or more of the standard trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, or related field.
• Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license

NOTE: Education at a regionally accredited or New York State registered college, trade or technical school in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, up to two years. One year of the stated experience is required.
