Job Description

10-Month Position
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach and supervise high school students at varying academic levels, both in academic and performance skills to prepare them for either college or entry-level work in the carpentry industry. The applicant should have a background and good working knowledge of:

• Roof and Wall Framing
• Exterior and Interior Finishing
• Doors, window and trim installation
• Building Materials and Construction Methods
• Building Codes and Industry Standards

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• NYS Certification in Vocational Subject Area Carpentry; OR
• Associates degree or higher in carpentry and two years of carpentry experience
• High School diploma or equivalent plus four years experience working in the carpentry industry
