The District Business Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the financial and operational aspects of the Broome Tioga BOCES Central Business Office. Reporting to the BOCES Controller or designated authority, they oversee a team of financial professionals. Their responsibilities include analyzing operational procedures, implementing improvements, managing fiscal data, and facilitating financial services, including budgeting and accounting for multiple school districts. Additionally, they serve as a liaison between district staff, administration, and Boards of Education.

Supervisor of Community Schools24-154

Job Description:

  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of community schools by analyzing data on student outcomes, attendance, and strategic effectiveness.
  • Addresses any challenges or issues that arise within the community schools’ network and implements strategies to overcome obstacles and improve outcomes.
  • Supervises coordinators and or/advisors to ensure implementation effectiveness
  • Develops and implements strategic plans for community schools to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Collaborates with school administrators, teachers, and community partners to align resources and support services for students and families.
  • Leads and facilitates meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions for staff and region.

Document Services Manager24-138

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Oversees daily and long term work schedule to ensure satisfactory completion of document service requests
  • Oversees, directs and supervises the daily activities of Document Services personnel
  • Conducts team lead meetings and staff meetings on a regular basis
  • Assists with creating communications for stakeholder groups
  • Meets with immediate supervisor to review all personnel, operational status, and departmental financial status, including budget preparation
  • Monitors orders to ensure high quality that meets the district's expectations, responsibility for management and oversight of projects with project deadlines.
  • Coordinates and manages inventory to ensure minimum waste and maximum quality
  • Reviews work progress to ensure following the planned schedule and budget, and maintain effective work flow.
  • Initiates and prepares employee appraisals
  • Oversees preventative maintenance programs on equipment
  • Provides or arranges for training on efficient work flow, and proper and safe machine operations
  • Maintains a variety of reports
  • Assists with service growth and development

Administrator for Instructional Support Services24-133

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and coordinate professional learning, in collaboration with the Professional Learning & Innovation Center team including, but not limited to: 
    • Instructional Practices
    • Multi-tiered Systems of Support
    • Performance-Based Learning and Assessment
    • Restorative Practices
  • Support districts with statewide initiatives including, but not limited to, the individual arts assessment pathway (IAAP), regional seal of biliteracy, and seal of civic readiness work
  • Lead and supervise internal teams of instructional support specialists (professional development staff)
  • Assist with budget development and management
  • Serve as administrative point of contact for the Teacher Center of Broome County
