MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor young adults and mentors in several instructional settings, providing supportive instruction to reinforce positive work behaviors.  Teachers will assist participants in developing personal and job-related skills that are transferable to post program education, training, and employment.  Instructors will plan and implement trade specific class content associated with the following courses:  Building Trades, General Automotive, Health & Nutrition, Business Office Assistant, and Counselor/Business/Technology.

Summer Youth Employment Mentors 202323-130

July 5 - August 10, 2023

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor youth (ages 14-20) in two-day instructional setting and a five-week work placement.  Mentors will travel to various work sites to work with the youth, provide supportive feedback, and reinforce positive work behaviors. Mentors will assist the teachers and site supervisors to ensure participants are developing personal and job-related skills that are transferable to post-program education, training and employment.
