Summer Youth Employment Mentors 202525-122

July 7 - August 7, 2025

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor youth (ages 14-20) in two-day instructional setting and a five-week work placement.  Mentors will travel to various work sites to work with the youth, provide supportive feedback, and reinforce positive work behaviors. Mentors will assist the teachers and site supervisors to ensure participants are developing personal and job-related skills that are transferable to post-program education, training and employment.

Nursing Instructors (Part-Time) (Continuous Recruitment)25-107

Responsibilities:

Nursing instructors to work within our Adult Education Health Programs (Licensed Practical Nurse, Phlebotomy, Certified Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide, Sterile Processing). Instructors deliver course content, evaluate and grade coursework, and provide coverage for clinical rotations. Programs are taught periodically throughout the year, some during the day and others during the evening.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Seeking an Interpreter for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to facilitate communication between a student who is deaf/hard of hearing and other students and staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Use of sign language to convey teacher instruction
  • Assisting student in academic and non-academic settings for the purpose of supporting effective communication
  • On-going collaboration with the student's team to ensure they understand the needs of the student and how to implement accommodations
  • Supporting student to achieve high expectations

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:  

  • Learns and develops skills in information technology to inlcude networking of computers, system wide back up of data, and storage of data
  • Learns and develops skills to communicate with IT professionals
  • Learns to work as a member of a team
  • Develops planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Lifts network equipment that may weigh as much as 50 lbs. to place in, arrange around, or remove from the workplace for set-up, installation, repair, de-installation or maintenance
