Substitute School Nurse (Continuous Recruitment)22-110

Major Responsibilities:  Works directly with school-age population (through 21 years of age) on health issues at one of the various Broome-Tioga BOCES sites.  Dispense medication, performs assessment/data collection of minor injuries or illnesses, administers tube feedings, delivers first aide, and completes required documentation.

22-108 Software Support Specialist (Continuous Recruitment)22-108

Job Duties

Reviews problems/concerns reported by customer, investigates causes, identifies problem sources and recommends solutions, tests and installs software applications, documents the result of testing the application.  Provides steps for resolution, explains preventative measures and follows up with uses.  Works with school districts to implement security for software applications using best practices to ensure data security and privacy.  Assists in training of staff in the use of software and administrative applications.

22-109 Information Technology Assistant (Continuous Recruitment)22-109

Major Job Duties:

Assist a higher-level Information Technology Department staff member with the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of information technology hardware and software, as well as other general duties connected with efficient Information Technology operations.  Work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher-level Information Technology employee.  Supervision is not a responsibility of this position. Does related work as required.

  • Assists with the installation and relocation of hardware and software of network equipment.
  • Assists with the performance of periodic preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
